OnePlus Concept One presented, videos show colorful smartphone

OnePlus has now released a new concept smartphone called Concept One at CES 2020 in Las Vegas. And there are some interesting ideas included.

The manufacturer has once again worked closely with McLaren on the new OnePlus Concept One. And this is immediately apparent in the color scheme – a very bright orange awaits you.

However, you should be aware of one thing beforehand: the device as seen here will never be available on the market. It is simply a concept smartphone that is intended to show new ideas and designs.

The highlight is certainly the back of the device, which hides the cameras behind electrochromic glass. The glass above the cameras darkens at the touch of a button. This creates a monolithic design without any distracting elements.

The electrochromic glass on the OnePlus Concept One is much thinner than normal, with each glass pane being just 0.1 mm thick. Together they are just 0.35 mm thick, making them as thin as a display glass film.

The glass can also switch from dark to transparent extremely quickly, taking just 0.7 seconds. This is faster than the device’s camera is ready for use and the technology hardly uses any energy.

And then there’s the extravagant design, the OnePlus Concept One flatters the user’s hand with partially processed leather. It’s a shame that the device will never be released like this.
